Africa Express was a unique event created for the official London 2012 Festival.  A 12 week UK-wide programme bringing together leading artists from across the world; Africa Express featured both Western and African musicians who toured the UK by train before arriving in King’s Cross for the final show at Granary Square.

The finale attracted a ticketed sell out audience of 5000 people with over 200 hundred participating artists including muiscal legends, emerging new artists, vocalists, DJ’s and producers including Baloji, Nicolsa Jaar, Nneka,  Damon Albarn, the Noisettes, Eliza Doolittle, Fatoumata Diwara, Jack Steadman (Bombay Bicycle Club) Amadou & Mariam with special guest Sir Paul McCartney.
