Who we are

Jon Drape
Managing Director
Ground Control is led by Managing Director Jon Drape. Jon has 25 years experience in the live entertainment industry, from touring with bands in the Madchester era and production managing the legendary venue The Haçienda, to taking a key lead role in the delivery of the Liverpool 2008's Capital of Culture Opening Ceremonies. More recently, Jon has been instrumental in the the inception and development of some of the UK's most talked about and well loved festivals, including Parklife, Live From Jodrell Bank and Festival Number 6. He is regularly seen on panels at festival and event industry conferences and is rightly considered as a leader in the field.

Ground Control team
The Ground Control team are an experienced, able and agile squad expert in the delivery of large, outdoor music events and all that they entail - site, production, staffing, logistics, finance and overall management. Ground Control have a network of trusted freelancers who we use, when required, to build a project teams alongside our own, core full-time staff.
