
Festival Number Six continued its recent award winning streak by picking up the Best Small Festival at the 2013 NME Awards. Jon Drape, Managing Director at Ground Control said: “Festival Number Six brings a whole new concept to the UK festival scene so be recognized by one of the music industry’s leading institutions is fantastic.”
The ceremony, which took place at London’s Troxy, was attended by music industry professionals and musicians covering a whole host of musical of genres and events.
This is the third major award Festival Number Six has picked up in recent months, having recently been awarded Best New Festival and Best Headline Performance for New Order at the at the UK Festival Awards 2012.
“The Festival Number Six team has been working hard at developing the plans for this year’s September weekend event so we are really excited to build on last year’s success and deliver another festival at one of the most beautiful festival settings we have ever worked on”, added Jon.
This year’s Festival Number Six takes place over the weekend of Friday 13th to Sunday 15th September, at Portmeirion, North Wales.
